| Scott Hafetz was born and raised in the Atlantic City area. He has been an independent health and life insurance agent for over twenty years. For more than ten years he has been a General Agent (GA) for Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, a distinction which is awarded to only a handful of agents who meet very stringent criteria relative to business volume and quality of performance Scott's hands-on approach and customer service oriented philosophy has resulted in his agency experiencing tremendous growth. He now employs over 35 full-time employees comprised of licensed sales agents and support staff. His business volume has more than tripled in the past five years, culminating with the honor of being Horizon's #1 Broker in New Jersey for 2005. In order to accommodate his continuing growth, Scott relocated the company in June of 2005 from Pleasantville to a completely renovated, state-of-the-art facility in Linwood that utilizes the latest web-based agency software and systems. Since then Scott has expanded the business to Northern New Jersey and plans to open an office there in the near future. Under Scott's leadership, the agency has in recent years expanded into larger markets, but continues to serve companies of all sizes, including the mom and pop businesses upon which the agency was built. His insistence of product knowledge, attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction at any cost has made for a successful transition into the larger market. Scott is a family man who is active in his community and he encourages his employees to do the same. He has a wife, Kathy, who is a registered nurse, and three children, Jordon, Brianna and Madison. Scott is an active participant in various charities. He presently serves as Vice President of Atlantic Prevention Resources, a non-profit charitable organization, and he serves on the Boards of Beth Israel Synagogue and Gilda's Club as well. |
